Bioavailability study

Bioavailability indicates how quickly and to what extent the vitamins and trace elements are absorbed and available at the site of action – the cell. As part of this internationally published study, the blood values of 107 demonstrably healthy volunteers who had taken 2x10 ml LaVita daily were examined over a period of six months.

In order to determine the actual intake of the various ingredients, vitamins and trace elements were specifically measured in the blood. At the same time, the aim was also to examine whether the substances are actually absorbed by the cells and actively intervene in the metabolic process. The study was published in autumn 2015 in the science journal "Neuroendocrinology letters".

Details of this study

V

Long-term improvement in full blood count

The results of the study
All measured blood values (vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, folic acid, B12, biotin, E, K, iron, chromium, zinc, selenium, coenzyme Q10, L-carnitine and beta-carotene), with the exception of copper, rose significantly over the course of the study, mostly to a highly significant degree.

The importance for humans
This result demonstrates the very high bioavailability that was measurable for all substance groups – vitamins, trace elements, phytochemicals, vitaminoids. What is also important is that none of the vitamin values moved beyond the optimal status. This shows the excellent composition and dosage of LaVita.

J

Immune system

The results of the study
The following vital substances that are relevant for the immune system were measured, and their progress over time monitored: zinc, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and selenium increased highly significantly; folic acid and iron increased significantly.

The importance for humans
The good availability of these vital substances is an important prerequisite for their having any influence on the immune system. This is scientifically proven: iron, folic acid, selenium, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and zinc contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system.

K

Fatigue & regeneration

The results of the study
The following vital substances that are relevant for fatigue and tiredness were measured, and their progress over time monitored: vitamin B2 and B6, biotin, and vitamin B12 increased highly significantly; folic acid, iron and niacin increased significantly; pantothenic acid increased.

The importance for humans
The good availability of these vital substances is the basis for their effectiveness against fatigue and tiredness. It also underpins their importance for regeneration and combatting fatigue. This is scientifically proven: iron, folic acid, niacin, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6 help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

P

Energy & performance

The results of the study
The following vital substances that are relevant for performance were measured, and their progress over time monitored: vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12 and biotin increased highly significantly; folic acid, iron and niacin increased significantly; pantothenic acid increased.

The importance for humans
The good availability of these vital substances is the prerequisite for their positive impact on performance, energy and fitness and for combatting fatigue. Because these substances are of great importance when it comes to supplying the energy systems in our cells, as well as for our metabolism. For example, iron, folic acid, niacin, vitamin B2, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6 help reduce tiredness and fatigue. At the same time, biotin, iron, niacin, vitamin B2, vitamin B1, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6 support normal energy metabolism.

L

Concentration & memory

The results of the study
The following vital substances that are relevant for mental abilities were measured, and their progress over time monitored: zinc increased highly significantly; iron increased significantly; pantothenic acid increased.

The importance for humans
The good availability of these vital substances is the basis for their positive influence on concentration and memory. This is scientifically proven: iron and zinc contribute to normal cognitive function. Pantothenic acid also supports normal mental performance.

T

The mind & nervous system

The results of the study
The following vital substances that are relevant for the mind and nervous system were measured, and their progress over time monitored: biotin and vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12 increased highly significantly; niacin and folic acid increased significantly.

The importance for humans
The good availability of these vital substances is the basis for their positive influence on the mind and nervous system. For example, biotin, folic acid, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 support normal psychological function, while vitamin B2, vitamin B1, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, biotin and niacin are involved in normal functioning of the nervous system.
